Creating and maintaining the character that is the home of adidas Style – AREA3 – has been no small feat; one which Mike Leslie and the ANDPEOPLE team have collectively adopted head on. Thanks to their dedication, the multi-purpose space is kept alive and relevant whilst always representing adidas’ authenticity and originality.
Reaching and understanding the adidas Originals target market and urban culture in the Gauteng region specifically is of utmost importance to the brand; a task Mike Leslie and his team work tirelessly to comprehend. ANDPEOPLE’s understanding of how to communicate to this vibrant and diverse target market is proving to be of utmost value to adidas brand.
ANDPEOPLE made the adidas Originals commissioned I ART JOBURG mural art project literally come to life in September of 2012. The success and popularity of the project is still resounding throughout the streets of Joburg; a testament to the hard work and expertise Mike Leslie and his dedicated team put into the project.
ANDPEOPLE helped us to define our local marketing and event strategy. With their experience and expertise we worked out a strategy which is tailored to the South African market, can be executed within our budget and can even be adapted for other Red Bull MOBILE markets. The team is easy to work with, understands our needs and delivers what we expect and sometimes even beyond.
My favourite part about ANDPEOPLE: They work hard, but also play hard.

Working with these dudes is working with people who know how to know people. They understand people. They get them. They get what they want. They also get the brands that are trying to talk to the people. Our job is the fun part. We take food and use it as another element of an already shit hot event. It’s a very, very cool area to be in.
