Talented 24-year-old photographer, Nadine Ijewere has just shared a preview of her yearlong portrait project Same/Difference.
While studying fashion photography at London College of Fashion, she began exploring the ideas of beauty and how they vary in different cultures.
With a strong interest in how women see themselves, she has shared work from on a yearlong project – a documentation of women of different heritages in and around London, in a series of work that she says is both very personal for her but also very important for a generation of young women.
“A strong part of one’s identity is their cultural background,” she told ID magazine. “So, as I got older, I went on a journey to really find and connect with my own.”
This is without a doubt a cool representation of work that encourages women to embrace themselves. Nice one Nadine!
